We don’t know what she is spraying them with, but we do know that is smells like vanilla, and makes there coat matted, but not sticky. I have read that vanilla can be used as an insect repellent, but we think that she is using some sort of dog repellent that maybe she made herself. We have actually witnessed her spraying our dogs, and when asked she doesn’t know what we are talking about. I don’t think that it is legal for her to really spray anything through our fence at our dogs, but when I called around to verify this I was told to call another number which told me to call another number, so on and so on. We are mostly concerned about the health of our pets, and my sister who is pregnant. We do keep them fenced in, and make sure that they are not barking at an unreasonable hour.
is there anything out there that she could have made? also is it legal for her to do that?
I work for an electrical contractor and am subject to peoples pets all the time. The other day I was in this house working on the outlets and this German Shepard kept jumping on me, when the lady finally put the dog up she asked me if it started crying could I let it back out, yeah right. Today I went to my bosses house to get paid and he lets his dog out and jumps me so I punched it good thimg he didn’t see it. And an hour ago I went for a walk And these two dogs ran up on me and almost got sprayed with pepper spray until the owner came from around the corner. I dont hate dogs but dont know if your strange dog is going to bite me or not. Why are people so inconsiderate with they dogs is it to much to put them on a leash or put them in another room when you call people to do work in your house?
I recently moved to the country area and my garbage can has no lid (County Owned Garbage Can). I ordered a new garbage can, but havent gotten it yet. We have had a problem with something getting into our garbage. I say something because we do have deer in our backyard all the time (I just dont know if they eat garbage or not). So after picking up nasty garbage out of the grass three times, I bought some spray that is suppose to keep dogs and cats away (You have to spray every day and its mostly used to train your own pets, not strays). I also got some twist-tied "pepper-looking" things that you hang up to help keep animals away. It worked for a few days. But the day the garbage man came, the garbage was all over the ground again. Any other ideas, except shooting the animals?
The Most Valuable Pooch (MVP) in football was unveiled at DOG BOWL 2010: Touchdown Treats Championship hosted by Hills Science Diet. This canine festival featured talented pooches performing football tricks from the Quarterback Sack to Touchdown Celebration Dance for a chance to win tickets to Super Bowl XLIV. The West Highland Terrier from Boca Raton took first place, and Diva, an Australian Shepherd Mix, secured second place. After hours of football fun in Miami, the Saints and Colts mascots joined the top dogs to perform a Touchdown Celebration Dance to conclude the festivities.

if another dog were to attack your dog(s) while out for a walk? Or do you or would you take something with you for protection?
I rarely take my two pups on walks in public places where other dogs might approach them. Lately I’ve been thinking it might be a good idea — mainly for socialization purposes and for exercise (for all of us). But honestly, it scares me to do so for two reasons:
1. What if they were attacked? What would/should I do? AND
2. Aren’t they at risk for dog diseases/worms/bordatella, etc. out there where other dogs poop, eand so forth?
Of course they have had their shots, but in this low income state where I live, I KNOW not everyone can afford proper health care for their pets. Furthermore, I have no confidence that these unvaccinated pets would be kept away from other animals — like at a dog park. Is it foolish to risk taking them out like that?
Can anyone tell me WHERE I may purchase, and what kind of, a taser I could use for self protection and protection of my dog? I live near the Mexican border and go out in the wilderness to photograph. I also walk my dog on a leash in a little nearby town — BUT, not everyone cares about other people or peoples pets. A free running pit bull with a spike collar isn’t going to be a match for me or my German Shepherd dog, and I have to have something for defense besides pepper spray.
I have some very inconsiderate neighbors that allow their dog to urinate on our newly planted Leyland Cypress trees on a daily basis. I don’t want any issues with our neighbors so I would like to quietly settle this problem if possible. So is their any way to make him not want to urinate on the trees? Please help.
But I would love to do it a natural way seeing as how I am an animal lover myself and have pets aswell.
