Is there something I can put there to like antifreeze/posion to stop them from comming. I heard cyanne pepper is supposed to work.

MD is very strict on weapons laws and the mace is a mace pepper gun I was wondering if I could carry them for self defensive purposes and what would happen if I was stopped and searched? I only plan to use them for self defense and when walking around my area at night cause of aggressive dogs, etc.

I’m investigating cat repellents for my garden. It’s mostly flowers but I do have one area where I grow garlic, so whatever I choose needs to be safe enough to use NEAR the garlic, even if I don’t sprinkle it right on top of it.

I’ve settled on some type of granule because I don’t want to be out there spraying every day.

I don’t need to get rid of the cats completely, they just need to stop pooing in freshly turned dirt.

I’m thinking of either wolf urine granules or Repel Dog & Cat Repellent or Gardeners Supply Company Dog and Cat Repellent.

I’m leaning toward the urine because I think it would be safe to sprinkle around my garlic bed.

I don’t want to mess with pepper or coffee grounds or anything that’s just going to blow or wash away easily, and mothballs are out too.

Have you had success with any of these products or what do you recommend?

Judge Fred Westhoff fined Marcus Mays for failure to register a dog with the city and 0 for failure to have a leash or muzzle on a vicious animal. Mays also must pay court costs of . “We can’t have dogs taking after young children or even adults,” Westhoff said. “It’s just not safe.” Mays requested the bench trial and represented himself. EAST HILLS (KDKA) ? Pittsburgh Police say officers acted properly during a dispute with residents in East Hills over a fire hydrant, but at least one resident says his home video proves otherwise. Five people were arrested – four juveniles and one adult – during the incident Sunday evening. It all started when some children were playing in an open fire hydrant on Wilner Drive just before 7 pm The mood was playful at that point. Security guards at the East Hills complex told police the playful mood disappear when the hydrant was turned off. People who live in the community claim police used excessive force – pulling guns, using pepper spray and allegedly using a taser to quiet the crowd. Pittsburgh Police say officers acted as they were trained to behave and maintain only an 18-year-old was tasered. People who live in the community believe a 54-year-old woman was tasered, but police officials are standing behind their officers. “We believe that the officers acted appropriately, that they acted as they were trained, and due to their training and professional conduct that more people were not seriously injured,” Deputy Chief Paul Donald said. “There was only one person injured during the arrest and he was tased by one of the officers.” People in the community believe the home video tells another story and also think that if the community swimming pool were open and if the children had somewhere to go the incident would not have happened. The past week I’ve been walking my little 5 lb pomeranian Xena around the neighborhood… and the beach up the street. Today, one came up and growled. Its owners were about a block’s length away.
I yelled "KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH"
A passing woman, also with an off-leash dog told me just to hold out my hand and "be nice" to the bigger dog.
"But it’s a big dog and it growled at my dog"
"Well, just hold out your hand like this and scare it off"
The dog looked like it weighed almost as much as ME!

Just Now,I was taking Xena out to potty in our OWN BACKYARD – which has a fence around it. A large dog got in thru a crack and started growling at her. Definitely NOT friendly. I yelled to the neighbors I could hear talking up the street "HEY- THERE IS A LARGE BLACK DOG IN MY BACKYARD GROWLING, AND I HAVE A LITTLE 5 LB DOG AND IT IS SCARING ME". Their response? "It’s just the neighbor’s dog, runs the neighborhood"… and then someone called it.

Should I get some pepper mace?! What should I do?

Not only does this bother me due to the obvious immediate potential physical danger to my small dog and myself, but also to the health implications:

I know that Xena is free of worms and disease, and was recently vaccinated. I don’t know other dogs are also current on their shots and equally as healthy.

I also don’t know that other dogs are "fixed" (spayed/neutered). We want Xena to have atleast one litter of puppies- WITH ANOTHER PUREBRED POMERANIAN. Sorry if this sounds mean, but she comes from grand champions, cost us quite a bit of money, and we don’t want an unplanned litter of pups from a dog we don’t know. She is not in heat, but I’ve heard mixed things about how long female dogs can store sperm….

I also don’t know that other dogs are gentle or trained. We’ve raised Xena with PARROTS. She is TRAINED not to bite or show agression.

I just want to do my thing and NOT be bothered by strange dogs. I don’t know what I should do, and I am annoyed…!
