Now I let it go the time I saw their son playing with a bb gun.. and later that day my other cat came home with a bb wound on his side. Then they got a dog (pitbull) and tried to teach her to chase our cats. Lucky for us the dog was too sweet to be taught things like that, and then they lost her.
My cats like to stay in either my yard, or go to the neighbor on the other side cause they give them treats, but mostly they just hang out in the back yard.
But tonight, just now, a cat that I’m watching for a friend came stumbling in covered head to toe in pepper spray! His eyes are swollen shut and now he is really sick. So we took him to the emergency vet… and being it isn’t my cat, and the owner has no money (which is part of the reason I’m watching him).. it extra sucks. This is the sweetest cat ever! He has no claws, so it isn’t like there is any way he could be clawing their stuff! Why would they do that?! If they wanted him off their property or something, try WATER. Talk to us, try something other then flat out animal abuse!
These neighbors have done nothing but be a pain in the butt since they moved in. I keep find guys lurking around the side of my house looking to hop in the window of the girls that live there… one of the girl’s kid (a 2 year old boy) likes to wander into a yard and turn on our water hose. We come home sometimes and find it running with no idea how long it has been on… first time I knew it was him was when I walked over to the nozzle to find the kid standing there playing with it, turning it to full blast. I was planning on hanging on to him till the parents came looking for him, but after an hour of baby sitting, I just took him back, and told them to watch him! They actually had NO idea a 2 year old was missing, and didn’t seem to care he was gone.
I hate to stir up trouble with neighbors, cause I hate conflict, and want to come home to a peacful place, but COME ON! I haven’t done squat to them. If they wanted to get my cat off their property (if he even WAS on their property) water would of worked just fine.. no vet needed.
What should I do about these jerks?

Recently I heard some dog attacks in my neighborhood. I walk my dog everyday. I’m really concerned if we run into the pit pull who attacked my neighbor’s dog. Is stun gun safe to use on dogs? I don’t want to hurt them. Just want to scare them away! If it’s safe, how much power does it have to be? My neighber once cleared a whole bottle of pepper spray on a pit bull. The dog gave up in the end, but she was also bleeding. Should I get a stun gun or a taser?
I am only saying 2 of my neighbors recendly were attacked by a lose pit bull. The dog attacked his kid and his Chiuaua. He told me it was pretty bad. I’m just trying to protect my dog and myself. I am fully aware any aggressive dog can attack. I have a broken finger to prove it. I was trying to stop my 2 Shepherd mix from killing each other. I got the worse of it. The reason I’m asking for advice is to avoid future injury. I really don’t know how a stun gun will do to the animal. I just want to buy us a few seconds, so we can run away. If it’s not safe, of course, I’ll not use it on the dog. I have many many cats and dogs. I volunteer at animal rescue. Don’t accuse me of abusing animal! That’s not nice.
The first case, yes, my neighbor knew where the dog lived. Talked to the owner and contact the animal shelter. I believe it ended at a warning. The 2nd case I only heard last week. Don’t know much the details! Though I haven’t seen his 3 Chiuaua since. Hope he’s keeping them inside!

Here’s the situation. We have neighbors who live directly across from us, they are Latino, and there’s 5-6 of them that live in a home no bigger than ours, they have a few add-ons and have lived in this neighborhood for a very long time. They do not cause any disturbances and keep their yard clean. They are genuinely good people. However over the past three years they have been chaining this small white poodle to a pole under their car port. Understandable I wouldn’t want my dog to get muddy when it rains, and have a bit of shelter. They leave this dog out there for hours at a time, not three or four but ten to twelve at a time, sometimes it’s over night. This dog will bark and bark and bark, and not at anything, just barks. It is the same high pitched bark over and over for hours at a time. Sure dogs are meant to bark, it’s their way of communicating. If our dog barks for awhile I will go see what’s up, usually its at the mailman, or kids, but she stops.
I have seen this dog get off her chain and chase the mailman, who has unloaded a can of pepper spray on it. I have rescued this dog from larger dogs that sometimes roam our street, I literally had to use a bat one time to rescue her.
In the past I have had conversations with these neighbors, and they spoke great English. But when confronted with the issue of keeping this dog quiet they say "No habla English." Which is frustrating because I know they can!
I called Animal Control and they came to our address. After detailing what was going on the officer said that we had to file a formal complaint, it’s got to go to the city prosecutor and then to court. the whole process is understandable but damn we have full time jobs, we are full time students and have a family. this will not only take time from our schedules but also from our lives. When explaining this to the animal control officer she said, "I have many calls about this dog, but I cannot do anything until a formal complaint is filled." and continued with "Truthfully though, if you want this resolved call the police when the dog is outside and say that there is a disturbance and a police unit will show up."
Today in the pouring rain they once again chained this little dog up to the pole, and from 830am to 12 noon this dog barked non-stop. I saw the owner and said "Sir will you please control your dog." He returned my question with a string of profanities.
SO what do we do? I have spent time day dreaming about paying someone to dognap the animal to making meatballs with crushed glass in it. I have even thought about getting birdseed and spreading it in their yard and give them a headache with birds. They know it’s a problem but they know no one will do anything about it… How could someone sit in their house and listen to a dog bark for 10 hours??
I wanted to add that there is someone home all the time…

The neighbors dog is on heat at the moment and since we live on a very big farm we do not keep our dogs chained up 24/7 and our dogs normally go and play with his dog all the time, and they are very good friends. There is no barking, no causing trouble and no fighting. They just chill together and play and run around. Now that the neighbors dog is on heat and hasn’t been spade my dog – a boy lab spends the night there and hangs out there all the time.. Now the neighbor chased him away and took his dog inside. Now obviously he starts barking but instead of calling us he sprays our pore animal with pepper spray
I am really cross about this. And don’t know what to do about it. My dog is not blind, we rinsed it out wel and took him to the vet and there is not really damaged done. But I need some tips on what I should do about this crazy neighbor of mine.
My dog has lost its manhood long time ago it is the female that isn’t spade. Try put a fence around a 3000 hectar farm, I do not have that kind of money…

pepper spray dogs
My neighbor has two huge boxer dogs that run all over the place. I carry pepper spray and I ask my wife to carry it whenever she’s in the yard. Our neighbor on the other side has small children and the other neighbors Boxer sometimes run across my yard into the adjoining yard where the children live.
Is there any danger?

dog pepper spray
So I recently moved into an apartment and my dog gets plenty of exercise I walk him twice a day. He has been with a training collar for a year seemed fine until I lost the damn remote. It’s just one that vibrates. He behaves fine with it on because he knows I will vibrate him if he doesn’t. Then he figured out it doesn’t vibrate anymore when he does stuff like bark at the neighbors through the sliding glass door so he is going crazy. He attacks the window on my car when people drive by and now he attacks the sliding glass door when neighbors walk by. I was out taking him potty and he is really strong now and I can’t hold him back he will pull me with him. I am completely helpless with restraining him now. He goes after the neighbors when they walk by and will attack other dogs he’s very territorial. He doesn’t attack people he runs up to them nips there leg and runs in the house and gets in his bed. I don’t know what to do. I think he just bit the neighbor but I’m not sure I heard him say something. I want to pepper spray my own dog! He’s terrible!!! I want him to protect me but only when I’m the one getting hurt ya know? I don’t want him to be nice to pet but I don’t want him to mess with everyone. Only if they mess with me ya know?? INFO He’s an australian cattle dog. He’s 4. He’s only like 20+ pounds and he’s extremely strong and very protective. Also on walks he tries to go after people and other dogs and will confront other dogs if they are off leash and not controlled by there owners. Apparently my dogs a tiny lil bully.HELP

dog mace
The past week I’ve been walking my little 5 lb pomeranian Xena around the neighborhood… and the beach up the street. Today, one came up and growled. Its owners were about a block’s length away.
I yelled "KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH"
A passing woman, also with an off-leash dog told me just to hold out my hand and "be nice" to the bigger dog.
"But it’s a big dog and it growled at my dog"
"Well, just hold out your hand like this and scare it off"
The dog looked like it weighed almost as much as ME!
Just Now,I was taking Xena out to potty in our OWN BACKYARD – which has a fence around it. A large dog got in thru a crack and started growling at her. Definitely NOT friendly. I yelled to the neighbors I could hear talking up the street "HEY- THERE IS A LARGE BLACK DOG IN MY BACKYARD GROWLING, AND I HAVE A LITTLE 5 LB DOG AND IT IS SCARING ME". Their response? "It’s just the neighbor’s dog, runs the neighborhood"… and then someone called it.
Should I get some pepper mace?! What should I do?
Futher….
Not only does this bother me due to the obvious immediate potential physical danger to my small dog and myself, but also to the health implications:
I know that Xena is free of worms and disease, and was recently vaccinated. I don’t know other dogs are also current on their shots and equally as healthy.
I also don’t know that other dogs are "fixed" (spayed/neutered). We want Xena to have atleast one litter of puppies- WITH ANOTHER PUREBRED POMERANIAN. Sorry if this sounds mean, but she comes from grand champions, cost us quite a bit of money, and we don’t want an unplanned litter of pups from a dog we don’t know. She is not in heat, but I’ve heard mixed things about how long female dogs can store sperm….
I also don’t know that other dogs are gentle or trained. We’ve raised Xena with PARROTS. She is TRAINED not to bite or show agression.
I just want to do my thing and NOT be bothered by strange dogs. I don’t know what I should do, and I am annoyed…!

dog pepper spray
I just moved about 5 months ago. The neighbors directly accross the street from me have a dog that is either a pitbull or rotwiler.
Every time I walk out of my house and the dog is there..It tries to jump the fence and go nuts.viciously growels and barks. If the fence were a bit lower, or the dog a hair bigger..It could jump over. There is an adjacent wooden fence, the other day..the dog almost knocked over.it moved a good foot when he jumped at it.
I freaked and grabbed my little 3lb chi and ran back inside. I am terrified of this dog! I now resort to carrying pepper spray.
The dog hasn’t got loose yet. I now resort to carrying pepper spray when I go out there.
I don’t feel comfortable going to them and saying this because I don’t know them..never talked to them. Also, the dog hasn’t actually got out yet..and if I go there, the dog might charge out of the house and kill me. What can i do? Send them an annonumus letter?
And i can’t avoid passing by their house. It is directly accross the street!
Can i call animal control even if the dog hasn’t done anything yet?
It’s a pitbull..to all you obsessors…A LOT of dogs look the same ..but i just asked and it’s a pitbull.
and CHI is a chiuahuah..not a child.
i called my downstairs nighbor and she told me…she met them once

dog pepper spray
My neighbor has several aggressive pits that run lose, 3 of my neighbors have already been bitten pretty good by them and they often charge me on a regular basis when I leave my house to walk my own dog.
Animal Control won’t do anything about them, so for my protection as well as my dog’s protection I was thinking of getting mace or pepper spray or I’ve heard bear spray works.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS….if you spray at something, will YOU still get affected. I realize if you spray into the wind it will probably come back, but I am wondering if the air is calm or blowing away from me if it would be safe to use these sprays without having to worry about it affecting myself or my dog?
Thanks
