So heres the deal. i have the look- long blonde hair, jean jacket, sunglasses, snakeskin pants, alligator boots and my obese family as my crew. I want to be a bounty hunter as a profession and I already have a net gun and mace so im prepared. should i just start runing around town and catching people or what? Please help. how does it actually work? I will need some money from this job so advice would be appreciated
My friend has this little Jack Russell mix dog, the dog does not bite at all, so this afternoon, her dog got sprayed repeatedly in the face with mace from a mailman who looked to be pretty old, my friend told me that she kept telling him that the dog was not going to bite him, but he just kept spraying.
Then as she was bending over to pick her dog up, he sprayed her in the face, luckily she’s ok, her eyes are still burning..
Cece my friend understands that the carrier was only trying to protect himself, but he shouldn’t have sprayed her too..
I could understand if I were a mail carrier and a little barking dog came up to me, and if I WERE NOT a dog lover, I’d freak out too!
I read somewhere that a mailman is supposed to scare a dog with their bag first, interesting.
That’s animal cruelty in my opinion.
I also read that it’s not mace, but pepper spray, interesting

As a single woman I feel safer like if I’m alone in a dark parking lot if I have mace on me. Also, I live in a rural area and I love to walk my dogs but there are a lot of people who let their dogs roam and some of these dogs are quite large and aggressive. I just have 2 small Shelties and I keep them leashed but the male will attack another dog out of protection for me if it comes over by us and since most of these dogs are bigger, it’s not only potentially deadly for him but I could get seriously mauled if I try to separate them. I’d just rather mace them both. So is it legal to carry and use if threatened like in the situation I described?
We have a beagle chihuahua mutt that we got from animal control about three years ago. She rarely gets out the front door–maybe once a year. Although I went to training classes with her, she was clearly one of the more difficult dogs, especially because she wanted to search for all the training goodies rather than listen to me or the instructor.
When she has escaped, which happened today, she’s never bitten anyone or anything but she gets aggressive to a group of toy poodles being walked by an older man. We could use advice on how to try to ensure that she just doesn’t get out. Although we are careful to try to stop her, I’m sure it will happen at some point again.
Any suggestions on the best way for her to learn not to go out the front door? The older man said that if our dog gets out, he will spray her with mace. I said that would be understandable and that I wouldn’t blame him. I’m trying to find a way to avoid it, but when our dog spots certain dogs, she’s going to try to get outside and in their faces.
She doesn’t have problems with all dogs, but it’s too unpredictable to know which ones she’ll like and which ones she won’t. Her best friend is a lab across the street that she plays with regularly.

i have heard that dog the bounty hunter is going to be on the next season of dancing with the stars. I was wondering if this was true. I also heard that they were going to allow him to dance with his steel tipped boots . I also was wondering if he would mace any judge that gave him a low score.
One morning, my wife was leaving for work (I had already left). She was walking out the door and to her car when she heard the neighbors dog barking. She turned and looked towards their house,and the dog somehow escaped their fenced in yard and was running toward her. She hurried to her car,but realized she couldn’t make it in time. She grabbed the mace out of her purse and sprayed the dog right in the eyes when he ran up to her. The dog started whimpering and ran away. My wife said the dog was barking the whole time he was running up to her and she feared that he would bite her.
The neighbor’s want to sue us, and told us they will be pressing charges against us for "animal cruelty".
Is this right? What do I need to do?

My elderly mother and I love to walk our two small dogs in our lovely semi-rural area on Lake Michigan. Recently though, people have letting their dogs run off their leashes while walking them. They will run up to our LEASHED dogs and our male doesn’t like other dogs. We have almost had some major dog fights and since our dogs are small, they would be mauled and we would potentially get very hurt. I worry about my mother because she is older and walks them alone. We even had two pit-bulls come after us (luckily the owners got them back) the other day. I told her we should get some sort of mace and just spray it all over if dogs do go after us and our dogs. As long as our dogs are leashed this is legal, right? And if we are on public property like a road or the lakeshore. How can we find out about how and when mace is okay to use and where we can buy it in our state? THANKS.
My dog got attacked today, she is a small dog. She had minor injuries luckily.
What are some things i can bring with me to protect her?
I don’t have access to pepper spray or mace (I’m Australian) and i don’t want to use wasp spray, as most of them have labels stating that it is not to be used for reasons outside its intended purpose.
I don’t wish to bring a spray bottle either, because it doesn’t spray very far.
I’ve heard of bringing an umbrella, but do i poke the other dog, whack it, open it up and push, or stick it in its mouth so it can’t bite?
Any other things i can use?
What should i do when a dog attacks my dog but has no signs of attacking? (If a dog shows signs i just back off)
Also, if it runs up to my dog and i, should i run? Kick it in the head?

My mom and I were out jogging about a mile away from our house when a Pit-bull came up and started barking at us. It charged directly at my mom and bit her, she had to get 16 stitches. I fell directly in front of it, I was trying to get it away from her, but it just went around me. I’m finally able to go jogging again without being too afraid, but it would be nice to know if mace will keep the dog from biting me, or allow me time to get away from it.
