I sure can used some insite on this! Recently we have had many Coyote’s in my neighborhood. I came upon 2 while walking my dogs. Now carry pepper spray but now I was just informed that also Fisher Cats have been sited and also a Brown Bear.
Any information on the latter two would be greatly appreciated!

Most like time to see them? What to do if I do? Should I just not walk the dogs for a while? I do live in a very country setting but Geeze!!!
Thanks Pam but I live in CT. The state has benn importing the Fisher Cats to try to keep the Geese population down?
Where I live is only 1 1/2 mile from the Ct. River and I already checked no consturction near the river.
Tinker dont worry I dont want them hurt at all. I just want to avoid them at all costs.

My friend has this little Jack Russell mix dog, the dog does not bite at all, so this afternoon, her dog got sprayed repeatedly in the face with mace from a mailman who looked to be pretty old, my friend told me that she kept telling him that the dog was not going to bite him, but he just kept spraying.
Then as she was bending over to pick her dog up, he sprayed her in the face, luckily she’s ok, her eyes are still burning..
Cece my friend understands that the carrier was only trying to protect himself, but he shouldn’t have sprayed her too..
I could understand if I were a mail carrier and a little barking dog came up to me, and if I WERE NOT a dog lover, I’d freak out too!
I read somewhere that a mailman is supposed to scare a dog with their bag first, interesting.
That’s animal cruelty in my opinion.
I also read that it’s not mace, but pepper spray, interesting
Note, my friend’s eyes are still burning 8 hours later.

Ive started watching this show lately and am kind of shocked by it. Are bounty hunters legally allowed to do the following:

Enter someones home without a warrant- These guys often go around knocking on peoples doors and barging their way into their homes. And often they do this to the wanted guys neighbors or other people who have done nothing wrong and are not harboring the wanted man or woman.

Physically Assault people- Some of these guys in Dogs crew, often initiate a fight with some guy- again often somebody who has done nothing wrong and is just mad at them for going around causing chaos and antagonizing them. That young punk who i think is Dogs son seems to seize every opportunity to do this. And ive only ever seen him taking a swing at either old guys, drunks or little guys. If its a young or big guy he just pepper sprays them and then legs it to the car.

Verbally abuse people- These people are annoying self righteous, which is ironic given the history of many of the people in this family, who in the past have been on the wrong side of the law. They all go around talking down to people, using foul language and antagonizing them.

Damage peoples property- Ive seen them kicking down peoples doors and pushing the furniture over, and you hear mirrors smashing things breaking etc.

My dog is a 10 month old Lab/B.Collie cross.Se digs all the time for no reason! I don’t know what to do.Nothing works, not faeces, not water, not shouting, not pepper, not that spray that is meant to be repulsive to dogs. We shout really bad at her and tell her to go on her bed, which she does without struggle, and we make her stay there in disgrace.
She’s not bored because she has bones, toys, balls etc outside. She likes swimming so we take her swimming, then leave in the garden for about half an hour afterwards to dry off, and she’s dug. I put her outside while I wash the kitchen floor, which takes about five minutes! And she’s dug. I don’t shut the door on her we have a board we put across so she can still see and hear what’s happening in the house, just can’t get in. She has good long walks everyday but still digs. I can’t see any reason why or any way to stop it. She has trashed our garden it has got worse in the past few months, it’s like she enjoys being punished.Please help

One morning my kids were going on a group outing and my dog got out. When I awoke I Heard a ruckas in the front yard I opened my door to my neighbor and the police trying to get a dog(not knowing it was my dog). when I realized it was my dog I pleaded with the officer to please let me come out and get the dog for him he would not let me.,and sprayed a whole can of pepper spray in my dogs face. The sergant on duty came to talk to me and said my dog had bit the neighbor and he was going to be put on quarentine for 10 Days . I told him that my dog at 7 years old doesnt have a mean bone in his body and I want to see the bite. He then said that a animal control officer will be getting in touch with me. Well that Monday morning they came to my house to inform me that they were going to deem my dog as visous and I probably would never get him back and if I tried I would have to get a10,000 dollars insuranse policy just to keep the dog and the counsel would decide if it should go to a hea

This is a funny question, raised by a hilarious event today. So I’m out walking Rock, and she goes poo. I pick it up and go on my merry way with poo bag now in hand. Some moron starts following me and is basically stalking me. I had planned on going home, but I take a different route… And then this dude comes up to me and Rock with a frickin knife.

You know what’s better than having a knife or pepper spray or a tazer or a stick? A FILLED POO BAG. I chuck it at the dude and he turns around and starts running, then the bag hits his shoulder and falls to the ground. Oh, that was hilarious. And of course I start sprinting on home before the dude can turn back. I made it back safe and all, but I needed to use my inhaler. Which sucked, since I was trying to go for a record… hadn’t needed it for three months.

They are now my weapon of choice. What’s yours, and why?

My 5 year old was playing in the sprinkler in the back yard. Then 2 big wandering dogs not on leashes were on my yard barking at my son. I went outside when I saw trouble. I grabbed the pepper spray. I went outside. The dogs barked at me. I sprayed pepper spray at the one dog. The other ran off. I called animal control, no answer, left message. They called me back 2 hours later gave me another number that was wrong. I called Sumner police no emergency line when the 2 dogs came back. The Sumner police dispatcher was absolutely refusing to help me. She told me there was nothing I could do to the dogs even on my property and threatening us. That I would be liable. She was very mean and rude. She refused any assistance and hung up on me!!!
We could have been mauled by the dogs and police here absolutely would refuse assistance!!
Could I file a small claim against the pd for refusing to help me when in imminent danger?

I know they’re NOT guns because they (bounty hunters) aren’t allowed to have guns from what I’ve heard. And I think it’s mainly because of a case where bounty hunters mistakenly killed two innocent people about 10 years ago. Are these just for "show"? Are they allowed to use stun guns? I think they are allowed to use pepper spray and that’s all.

Ok, so she is not really vicious, but I had to get your attention. She is so smart and lovable, but when the UPS guy pulls up to the gate, she puts her head through the fence and barks like mad, like she is gonna kill the guy. She puts her paws through the fence and stuff too. But then when he leaves she is fine. The animal control people stoped buy one day for some reason which i have no idea, and the lady sprayed her with pepper spray to get her to stop. She said if she does that again she will shoot her in the head! What do I do?! PLEASE HELP! I REALLY DON’T WANT OUR PUP TO GET KILLED CAUSE SHE DOESN’T LIKE STRANGERS! WHAT DO I DO!?!

I know, right! she is behind the fence, she could easily get through if she really wanted to kill the lady! But what can I do? We are gone at school all day and its not fair for her to be inside in a kennel all day!

my Chihuahua is in her second heat and i think she got with another dog im not to sure becuz she got outside of the fence and she threw up to day but i dont no if that is a sign and i need to no without going to the vet no money for that and she got pepper sprayed in the eye to day by the mailman would that effect the puppies
my dog is lazy as it is she sleeps all day with me no matter what
i do take care of my dog she has everyrthing she wants she just likes to play and escapes with my rat terrior
